Description: I want this project to revolve around an environmental issue, most likely something about Climate Change and its affect on the earth and people. This project should be focused on being informational. I have a clear idea of how I want the project to look like, but in terms of the exact, I will have to explore topics on Climate Change and research on it. I want this project to be directed to anyone who is interested in knowing about climate facts and its effect on people.
Project and Approach: This project will resemble National Geographic Rewind the Red Planet but for the Earth. So there are a couple things that will be needed for this project and tools to create this project: Three.js library to create interactive 3D earth, a pre-made 3D Earth object from the internet, Scroll Reveal Javascript Library to create the same motion that National Geographic did, and perhaps an API that collects greenhouse gases on Earths atmosphere (currently the API site is down so now exploring new options).
Content: To gather information about the issue and topic around Climate Change, I am considering gathering information from NASA Climate Change and National Geographic Climate Change. I have also considered getting some information from NASA API, only issue is getting API key and going through a process to get the API information.
Visual Design: For visual design, I intend to make this project a single page without links. It will be scroll-able just like National Geographic Rewind the Red Planet.
